More About Calido Chile Traders

The Calido concept began in 1994 by a dedicated group of "chileheads" who developed original recipes that are still popular today in Southwestern cooking. These unique salsas and sauces are the mainstay products popular in Calido Chile Traders stores and are excellent for dipping and as cooking ingredients. Recipes using some of the Calido products are listed elsewhere in this website.

One of the most popular products offered by Calido Chile Traders is a variety of hot sauces. Common favorites range from mild flavors enhanced with cayenne and chipotle peppers to the hottest sauces available featuring differing amounts of habañero peppers. Sauces are excellent additions to chili, stews, tomato sauces and any food needing a little extra "heat."

Dozens of salsa choices are the major focus of Calido Chile Traders. Like sauces, salsas range from the very tame ("wimpy") to "meltdown" varieties. Many are fruit-flavored, some are enhanced with garlic, while others use traditional Southwestern staples such as black beans, pinto beans and mesquite flavoring.
